In the early spring of 1997, Master Quinones made his first visit to Bergen, a town nestled between the beautiful mountains on the west coast of Norway. He was invited by one of his students from New York, at that time living in Bergen, to give seminars in Yi Chuan. During the 3 weeks of seminars and private lessons many people in Bergen came and experienced the simplicity and power of these ancient chinese practices.

Master Quinones openly shared from his wealth of knowledge and allowed the people of Bergen to experience the priceless art of Yi Chuan as taught by the Great Grandmaster Wang Xiang Zhai. Individuals were deeply touched by the beauty and serenity of this unique and powerful practice - reminding them of- who they are, beyond the surface of one's daily life and cultural differences.

After Master Quinones' departure, a group of people weekly in Bergen, to practice Yi Chuan as a group and to inspire each other to keep their daily training at home.

Later that summer Master Quinones made his second visit to Bergen to continue the students' training. For 2 weeks the studio was transformed to a transitional space for crossing over imaginary borders and limitations.
